Covenants

As defined within the Mission Agreement, the Missional Covenants provide the requirements needed to ensure Erlanger Health maintains its status as a nationally acclaimed health system anchored by a leading academic medical center, offering certain programs and major acute service lines, and maintains its status as a Level I Trauma Center.

Per the Mission Agreement, the Community Covenants are designed to ensure Erlanger Health upholds its commitment to providing high-quality, accessible care that meets the needs of the communities it serves. These Covenants require the Panel to certify Erlanger Health’s accreditations with Joint Commission, DNV Healthcare, or other national accreditation bodies, assess service offerings and outcomes, and audit staff recruitment policies, among other standards.
